Site News Update
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Hello!
CG-Nation Beta 4 is nearing release! We’ve listened to the community, and have tailored the new version of the site to be more content oriented, artist friendy and even more modern! Here are some things to look forward to:
- Lightweight site design/Faster loading site
- Easier navigation
- Redesigned User Control Panel
- New Artwork browsing and posting model
- Modern Blogs
- User webspace
- OpenID Support
- …and even more!
OK, that’s fine and good, but others may also be wondering what new content additions will be made?
- Anim8or to Blender/Maya/Max Guides
- New Artist Guides
- A Mentor/Student System
- New Competitions and Challenges
- Introduction of “The Nation: The Struggle for Free Expression” community fan story
We are also putting out a call for more Anim8or tutorials and articles! Submitters will earn 10 UCP for each submission!
Now, what about this UCP (User Contrib Points) that we keep speaking of?
Big things have been happening behind the scenes, and for the past two months, a online community themed video game has been in development. UCP ties into the game, serving as points for unlocking permissions and content. What is this game all about? You are going to have to wait until it is presented at the Carolina Games Summit to find out more!
**NOTICE**
On another note, we will be transfering to a new system when Beta 4 launches. To facilitate that launch, all user accounts with less than 5 posts will NOT be migrated. If you are a new user with less than 5 posts, PM me your situation and I will flag your account so that it will not be deleted.
