The Future of Competitions at CGN.

Well.... me, TP, and TheMan have been discussing the future of CGN on the IRC, into the late hours of night.

After heated debates on certain matters we have come to the matter of competitions on CGN and their position here. Now we all know that there have been lack of participation in the comps here, and this is where TP needs our help.

TP was wondering if we should merge the XX comp and the Action comp into an animated XX comp, like it used to be on the old .org site.

What do you guys think? Also there are some other changes that TP wouldn't mind making on other comps, but I'm going to let him edit this post and talk about that, since it's not final yet and I don't know all of the details.

So do you guys want to go back to the way the old XX comp was?

My plans are to create a sort of alliance between .com and Animanon to take advantage community offer its trademark competition. As for ours, I would like to revamp the XX competition, and provide a similar still image competition.

We had some great ideas discussed over iRC that i'm going to impliement over this week. If anyone else has any other ideas or suggestions, let us know!

Can you explain the alliance?

I was more thinking about setting up a framework where the three communities can share what competitions are going on at what time, so that we dont waste our efforts on duplicate competitions.

However, we had a great discussion last night on IRC about CGN competitions and WIP content, and alot of your ideas I agree with. Stay tuned soon for updates to the site along those lines!

We need another competition! Can we have SMC, slow or fast? Just something to do. Maybe give us 2 weeks or something. I don't know whatever you think. I'm just bored.
