Good start on a site. I'm taking it you're not completely done with it since only the 3D Modelling section works? It'd be nice if you put a caption with each work describing the art and the  programs, methods, and/or uses.

One bug I caught was that if you keep clicking on the big Colton Dyck name, it keeps pushing the gallery link downward. Using Google Chrome latest version.

Awesome!  As Cowtail said, there is that one glitch but otherwise it looks great.  It just seem to need some filling in of content.  I do agree that a little caption at the bottom explaining the piece would be nice, or even simply a title.  You could as well include what programs were used for it to show the depth of programs you can use.

I would make the thick line graident between the left and right areas thinner and faded back a bit.

Other wise, I've got no issues with the design.  I love minimalism.  However:

1. I like your work, but I dont know how to get in contact with you...lol.  Try adding a contact page.
2. Your current JS doesn't give much user feedback, especially when its loading images.  I would consider using the jQuery JS library,

there! fixed the bug, put the rest of the content in there and actually put in a real homepage! sat down this afternoon to finish it. it was a pain to figure out again what I was thinking when I wrote all the javascript but the result is mucho awesome!

As for user resposiveness, thats why i'm not a web designer haha...rather do 3d!
