Luxrender tests

I’m working on a project where I’m creating some scenes from the time of something call the modern break through (rough translation). It’s a period in Danish history where writers, painter and other artist where focusing show realism of the conditions of the poor instead of the false paradise earlier artist have show. The images will be used to make a little flash game where people can walk through the environment of that time. So I modeled a house which I need indoor pictures, to make it look a bit more realist I choose to use Luxrender. But I have never used Luxrender before so I needed to make some tests, this is the images I got:

1. is a 40 hour render, it's doesn’t use a portal(http://www.luxrender.net/v/manual_portals)

2. is a 5 hour render with a portal

3. is a 7 hour render with a portal and network render

New(4/3-10):

I have made the images smaller, so it take less time render. I tried to make the glass more visible, but it's very difficult since luxrender is based on real physics. Which means there isn't any transparency settings, only types of glass.

4. is a 8 hour render with background (with a portal and network render two more pc)

- I going to render the final image, when I have fixed the textures.

5. is the first outdoor image

New(23/4-10):

6. the final indoor render, rendering is about 30 hours

7. the final outdoor render

My computer is a 1.6 dual core, 2GB RAM.

What do you think of this piece?

Looks pretty good, I don't know if it's just the pic but everything looks a lil fuzzy, but other then that, awesome job!

looks great although the same could be achieved in mental ray much quicker, what program are you right now?

"everything looks a lil fuzzy", it's because Luxrender is unbiased (It can render forever, see introduction - http://www.luxrender.net/), and I didn’t have enough time to make it completely sharp(I rendered the last two pictures in school).

"what program are you right now?" I'm using Luxrender. Mental ray might be faster, but Luxrender is free instead.

Am I the only one who see some html tags?

Pretty cool. Everything looks quite shiny though... And you should probably add a slight grunge texture to the windows, and not less transparent, to make them stand out more. Unless, of course, you haven't added any windows yet. Just a tip. And I also see all of the html tags, probably along with everyone else.

I prefer the third, there's less grain in it.

Great render though, I like the blue reflection on the table, quite nice.

You should work on getting something more into the background now though.  The white looks too empty and fake
